Why Would I Consider Buying From A Pawn Shop?
Pawnshops often have the same brand name items and comparable items at a very significant savings compared to original retail prices. Our pawn shop is regulated by the State of Florida just as any other business. Just as with any professional business you will find courteous employees always eager to help shoppers with their questions.
What Items Can I Pawn And How Much Can I Get?
We typically accept a variety of items from jewelry to electronics that are in working order. The value of an item is assessed based on several factors such as age, working condition, cosmetic appearance, missing documentation or parts and consumer demand. In order to pawn or sell goods a photo id, personal information and thumb print are documented.
How Do I Know That What I Buy Is Not Stolen?
All items taken at a pawnshop, whether loaned upon or purchased, are listed with a complete item and seller description. This list is provided to the local police and is required by law. The law also requires that these items be held for a minimum of 30 days (holding period) before they are available for sale in order to cross check for stolen property.
What Happens If I Can't Afford To Pick Up My Items?
As a borrower you have the option of making an interest only payment to ensure a continuation of the loan agreement. After the 30-day hold period (see above) has passed and the owner fails to pick up their pawned items, the title to the property passes to the pawnbroker and the property becomes available for sale in the shop.
Who Can Pick Up Pawned Items?
Only the orginal borrower may pick up items. The borrower must bring their pawn receipt, photo id and make payment of all applicable fees before the property is released. In the event that the pawn receipt is lost, a valid Florida Drivers License or State issued photo id may be accepted.
