Ruger has launched its new Precision Rimfire rifle for 2018. Chambered in .22 LR, the Ruger Precision Rimfire features an 18-inch cold hammer-forged 4140 alloy steel barrel with a 1:16 twist and 1/2″-28 thread pattern for pairing with muzzle devices. The 15-inch hard black anodized aluminum, free-float handguard features Magpul M-LOK slots on all four sides for enhanced scope clearance and mounting of M-LOK-compatible rails and accessories. The rifle has a molded, one-piece chassis and adjustable buttstock made from glass-filled nylon. The adjustable stock lets the user adjustable the gun’s length of pull and comb height quickly. Indicating marks molded into the chassis enable a fast return to a previous position. The adjustable buttstock also includes a flat Picatinny bag rider making it easy to affix a rear monopod.Also included in this rifle is the Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger, which has a pull weight range of 2.25 to five pounds; adjusting wrench stored in the buttstock compartment; Ruger’s own AR-pattern pistol grip and safety selector for maximum control and access to the 45 degree, reversible safety selector; and an anodized Picatinny scope base that includes 30 MOA elevation for increased long-range capabilities out of the box. Weighing 6.8 pounds, measuring between 35.13 inches and 38.63 inches in overall length and with a length of pull between 12 to 15.50 inches, the Ruger Precision Rimfire accepts all 10/22 magazines and ships with one, 15-round BX-15 magazine.
